Fall Guide – What to Wear

What to wear to a family photo shoot is as varied and personal as people’s tastes are.  I suggest you start by deciding what style you are going for… formal, casual, classic, modern, edgy, etc…

Once you’ve decided that, you can choose a particular piece or color scheme.  Here’s one way to go about it:

This family wanted a classic, fall look.  Mom chose a beautifully patterned dress for their daughter.

From their, dad pulled from the lavender for his collared shirt and navy for his sweater.
Mom pulled the maroon, brown, and navy for her outfit.
The son wore a neutral sweater, while pulling from the brown for his corduroys.
And voila…a beautifully coordinated ensemble!

And lastly, accessorizing can add interest to your photos!  Think textures, like fur, layer with vests, or add a hat or a scarf for style or pops of color.
