‘Tis the Season of Giving…So please come give (and receive) with me while fighting Pediatric Cancer!

Come help me give a special gift to a deserving family

As a children’s portrait photographer, I feel so blessed to be able to work with children on a regular basis.  Whether it’s capturing a smile, coaxing a giggle, or preserving a beautiful moment for Mom and Dad to treasure for years to come…these are the things that give me a deep sense of joy and happiness in what I do.  But I also know that not all children are as blessed as the ones that I have met and photographed this year. That’s why as 2010 comes to a close, I’d like to give something to the children and families that need our love and support.

So please join me in the effort to help fight pediatric cancer, and in doing so, we will give a very special gift to a deserving family…

Serene beauty… | NJ Newborn Photographer | Morris County, New Jersey

I just love newborn shoots…especially when they are such good sleepers like this little guy was.  Mom & Dad were warm and welcoming, not to mention helpful during the shoot – just a delight to meet.  This boy is a little brother and I will be posting a few favorites of his big brother soon. But for now, I’ve lots left to do so I’ll keep it short.  I’m planning some exciting holiday promos, contests and fundraisers coming up soon so keep an eye out!   In the meantime, enjoy this serene beauty…

Cloudy days… | NJ Child Photographer | Essex County, NJ

I’ve really been neglecting this blog…but have a bunch of sessions that I can’t wait to share…

This session was almost rained out, until mom came up with a fantastic location for us (which shall remain nameless) in West Orange.   Not only were we able to shoot inside, but the rain held off as it often turns out, so we ventured outside as well.  Cloudy days can make for some beautiful sessions as the clouds really soften and diffuse the sunlight.   Never shy away from a cloudy day session!   Anyway, I always love when we have a variety of cool backgrounds and this little model was just adorable in both looks and personality.  Talk about easy-going!  He just played happily the whole time…

Thanksgiving… | New York Baby Photographer | Rockland County, NY

This family has a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving…the most darling baby girl.  I normally do not do baby sessions at 1 month old.  The babies are past the newborn stage, do not sleep as well and still cannot hold their heads up for very long, so they are kind of at an “in-between” stage.  But when a friend of mine called me to request a session for a very special girl, I was happy to give it my best try.  Boy, am I glad I did!  She is just precious and I had the pleasure of meeting not only her parents, but her grandmother and great grandmother – a lovely family.   And four generations of women…how fantastic!   Here is their new little beauty…

Baby Love… | NJ Newborn Photographer | Bergen County, New Jersey

With all the outdoor fall sessions I’ve been doing, it was a nice change of pace to have a newborn shoot with this beautiful baby girl.  She was just a doll and slept so peacefully the entire time.  You may recognize her big sister in the last photo from a previous session – these parents have two of the prettiest girls around!

These two were really sweet models and mom was quite the entertainer, I must say.  I’d love to have her around for all my shoots to make kids smile, laugh and even dance!   Combine two adorable kids, a silly mom and a scenic location at peak foliage and this is what can happen…

Sometimes my shoots seem more like play dates than photo sessions.  This darling boy was clearly having fun – laughing, giggling and running around.  I was able to slow him down for the occassional pose…but then it was back to the slide!  All in all, I’m loving the results and the fall colors made for a gorgeous backdrop.    Mom and Dad – you are always a delight to see and talk to…hope you like these as much as I do!
