Brother and sister…and good friends too! You could tell after a few minutes that these two were real buddies! They were constantly laughing and joking – it was awesome to see and made for some adorable images! (They’re being beautiful doesn’t hurt either!)
This family travels all the way from Texas to vacation at the Jersey shore…I’m telling you, LBI is just that special! It was really a pleasure to meet them all…they could not have been any warmer or friendlier…and two hours passed in a snap.
Towards the end of our session, we ran into some sea-creatures and this brave boy showed me how to put a crab to sleep. Apparently if you flip it over and rub it’s belly it falls asleep within a few seconds. That’s when he picked it up and showed it to me up close! Eeeeew! Well, it was kinda cool actually. Can’t say the same for the sting ray we found…

Ok..sorry for the bad pun. But it was a perfect morning for a beach portrait session on LBI with this adorable 2 year old girl! I’m not a morning person, but obviously my model was… she was on the go and so fun to follow around. We had the beach all to ourselves, too (except for a few seagulls and joggers). Here are a few favorites including some precious moments with her beautiful mommy…

Back down to LBI this week for a really fun session with this gorgeous senior. Obviously the camera likes her…we did too! My husband was there to help with the bounce (a big white circle that bounces light at the subject’s face) and to help keep her laughing – like THAT was hard! 
Well, not only is she beautiful, but very fun, down to earth and sweet! She and her family travelled all the way from Michigan to vacation at the beautiful Jersey shore. We loved meeting you guys…have a safe trip home!

I am so happy and excited to be doing summer beach sessions at LBI again this year!! It’s one of my favorite places on earth!
On the day of this session, it was beautiful and sunny. Then all of a sudden, right before our scheduled time, the clouds came rolling in and next thing you know it was POURING. An hour later, sunshine! It just goes to show that it pays to roll with the weather… This family was so sweet and I could tell from talking to mom that LBI is as magical a place for her as it is for me. We both spent summers here as kids and now we’re creating special memories with our own children. When she asked me to capture some special beach moments of her family, I knew how much this session meant to her. I hope I’ve captured some of the magic of LBI for you guys..more to come!

As a child, I grew up spending my summers on Long Beach Island. I have so many special memories of being with my family at the shore, spending endless hours in the ocean while my dad watched me vigilantly, building sand castles with my brother and playing “kadima” with whoever was up to the challenge!
Here’s your chance to capture special beach memories of your own family to be remembered and enjoyed for a lifetime…. I am offering beach sessions at the end of this month, from Sunday, June 27th until Tuesday, June 29th and also next month from Friday, July 23rd until Saturday, July 31st. I offer 2 sessions per day, one in the early morning and one in the evening. We can shoot at your own local beach, at the bay, or at the beautiful Barnegat Lighthouse on the northern tip of LBI.

Saturday of Labor Day Weekend could not have been a more beautiful day…the kind of summer day you never want to end. When we arrived for our session at 5:30pm, the beach was still packed. We had to work around a crowded beach…and I had to work a little photoshop magic, but I love these images of sun-kissed kids enjoying the last days of summer.
